Anderson v1 pg49-50 - letter #45

I think I ought to remind you, my dear friend, that in the second notice of our c[oncert] [footnote 2: 1/30/1801] you should not let your husband again forget that the names of those who are supporting this c[oncert] with their talents should also be made known to the public - Such is the custom; and I fail to see how, if this is not done, there is going to be a larger audience, which after all is the chief object of this c[oncert] - Punto is rather annoyed about this, and rightly so; and even before I saw him, I intended to remind you of this lapse. In fact, I can only attribute such an omission either to great haste or to great forgetfulness. So do see to this now, my dear friend, for, if it is not done, you will most certainly expose yourself to much unpleasantness - As I have quite definitely convinced myself, and have been persuaded by others, that I shall not be absolutely useless in this c[oncert], I fully realize that not only I, but also Punto, Simoni and Galvani will demand the same thing, namely, that the public too shall be informed of our zeal for the charitable and excellent object of this c[oncert]. If not, we must all come to the conclusion that we are useless people -
