     Today I received an invitation to Modling in the country. I have accepted it and am going off there this very evening for a few days. This invitation was all the more welcome to me, as my heart which was already bruised would have been suffering even more. Although the main tempest has spent itself, I am not yet quite sure how my plan of resistance will turn out. Yesterday I was offered a trip to Poland in September. In this case neither the journey nor the stay would cost me anything. Moreover I can amuse myself quite well in Poland and there is money to be made there too. I have accepted the offer. -- All good wishes, dear A[menda], and let me have news of you soon from whereever you stop on the way and also when you arrive in your native land. -- Have a pleasant journey and don't forget your
